Matthew Burton, MD

Dr. Matthew Burton is a native of Lake Charles and has a degree in biological science from McNeese State University. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport. His post-graduate training includes a neurosurgery residency at the University of Missouri. Dr. Burton is trained in robotic assisted neurosurgery as well as the latest minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Burton specializes in complete spinal care of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He provides comprehensive and individualized pain management plans to give you the best chance of recovery without the need for surgery if possible. Plans are individualized to include referrals to the best therapy programs for your needs. He also performs interventional pain management procedures such as spinal injections and nerve blocks.
